Bio: I am on a mission to sprout optimism, health, creativity and happiness in myself and others. I am ecstatic to bring my energetic spirit and other-worldly optimism to my newest venture – Brussell Sprouts. The company is an opportunity to channel my entrepreneurial energy into the creation of family-friendly products and services, including positive-parenting strategies, dynamic daily routines, and health and wellness improvements. Many in the community have come to know me through my years of fundraising and support for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and The Chordoma Foundation and my career as an occupational therapist through Easter Seals Hawaii and Infant-Toddler Services of Johnson County. Much of my inspiration comes from my work, drawing connections between what I know about child development and creative problem solving. Brussell Sprouts provides me with the opportunity to fulfill both my creative and humanitarian desires and interests. After attending The University of Kansas and living in Hawaii, I returned with my family to in 2006 to raise our two children around friends and family in Lenexa, Kansas. I have balanced my career as an occupational therapist with the duties of motherhood. Whether speaking about child development, the try-and-try-again experiment called parenting, or how to forge a positive life force through physical and mental practices – the family remains at the heart of my work and life.
